The world without technology

what would happen to the world if there 's NO technology? Have we ever wonder or take a glimpse of what would happen if there was no technology in this world? How it would affect our life and our environment?

There are many will happen if in this world doesn't have technology such as :-

>   Life seems meaningless (bored)
We are used to live with technology nowadays, in other word it has become our daily routines, e.g. Hand phones, Televisions and Radio. But if there was none of them, life would be boring because there was no entertainment.

>   Everything has to be done by yourself
We have to work full time and every task has to be done by our self, because there is no technology to rely on.

>  Population disease and death is rising
In order to treat people’s injury, we needed a high-quality medical equipment and management, e.g. Portable X-rays and Bone Densitometry. Without proper medical equipment, it would cause people’s death due to improper medication.

 >  Education level is low
As we all know, we needed technology to enhance our education as well as to get a better understanding, e.g. Computer and Internet. If we didn’t have it at the first place, our knowledge will become inferior and therefore, our education level remains low.

>  Food shortage
Without technology, we might be lack of food because the process of making the food is slower since it has to be processed manually using bare hand.

>  Communication Problem
It’s hard to communicate with each other, with no technology, e.g. Phones and E-mail. So we have to communicate through letter, which takes a long time for the letter to reach to the other person and daily interactions.

What is Virtualization?

Virtualization in computing, is a term that refers to the various techniques, methods or approaches of creating a virtual (rather than actual) version of something, such as a virtual hardware platform, operating system (OS), storage device, or network resources.

Virtualization Pros:
  • Affordable disaster recovery
  • Data center footprint reduction
  • Fast system provisioning
  • Hardware lock-in escape
  • High physical resource utilization
  • Near-zero maintenance downtime
Virtualization Cons:
  • Investment in capacity management
  • ISVs limited support
  • Partially market immaturity
  • High price for software platforms and hardware infrastructure
  • High risk of virtual machine sprawl
Platform Virtualization approaches:
  • Application Virtualization
  • OS Virtualization
  • Hardware Virtualization
Resource Virtualization  approaches:
  • I/O Virtualzation
  • Nework Virtualization
  • Storage Virtualization
  • Workspace Viirtualization

this facebook isn't virtualization?
yes, facebook is one of virtualization which very popular social networking site with over eight hundred million users.

Various types of software for preventive maintenance

Some of the function of various types of software for preventive maintenance  :-

1. Disk Defragmenter

It consolidates fragmented files on our computer's hard disk to improve system performance. Fragmentation our hard disk do extra work that can slow down our computer. Removable storage devices such as USB flash drive also can be fragmented. Disk Defragmenter rearranges fragmented data so that our disk and drives can work more efficiently. It runs on scheduled and it can analyze and defragment our disks and drives manually.

2. Scan Disk and Files For Virus (Antivirus)

It designed to repair damaged hard drive sectors and clusters on your computer's hard drive. Furthermore, it provides a report that contains the errors it has found and the amount of disk space it has scanned.

3. Checking Disks For Read Error

To find out whether there are problems with  a hard drive and possibly as a solution. If  disk error scans reveal errors that cannot be fixed, the user can replace the hard drive to avoid problems that might be caused by running a bad hard drive.

4. Disk Cleanup

Windows Disk Cleanup help you find files that can be deleted, and gives you the option to decide which of those files you can safely remove to improve the performance of your computer beyond emptying your recycle bin.

PC Preventive Maintenance and how to do it

What is PC preventive maintenance and How to do it?

Computer system preventive maintenance (PM) is a very critical aspect of any successful IT operation we always stress how it is very importance. The act of a regularly scheduled check of the computer hardware or software to help ensure it continues to operate properly.

No matter what efforts are taken, computers will still has their malfunctions, laptops will break down, servers will go offline, networks will become unavailable & etc. at times you least expect. All of these problems can be turned away and kept to a very minimum by keeping up with regularly scheduled preventive maintenance activities. Oftentimes even basic maintenance such as backup of critical data, critical software updates and hardware components cleaning can become very time consuming or difficult for an average computer user.

To keep computer hardware in good working order, especially the internal components, which usually you have to deal with dust - one of the main source of the computer hardware failures. It is imperative to clean and properly lubricate all the moving components such as fans, power supplies, the main board and the CPU. You must make sure that you have the right equipment.

Another important aspect of keeping up the effectiveness of hardware is make sure that the moisture and heat are kept away from the computer hardware, especially from CPU/processor and hard drives, as it dramatically affects their longevity.

Below is a list of some preventive maintenance steps you can take with your computer or computer hardware:

  1. Cleaning your computer hardware.
  2. Downloading the latest drivers for your hardware.
  3. Downloading the latest updates for your computer software.
  4. Verifying you have the latest anti-virus protection updates on your computer.
  5. Running disk software utilities such as Defrag and ScanDisk on your hand drive.
  6. Deleting unused programs or other files on your computer.
  7. If you don't turn off your computer it may be good to reboot your computer every few months, unless the computer is a crirical computer such as a computer server.

PC HARDWARE TOOLS

 PC HARDWARE TOOLS :-

  • 6" adjustable wrench / ajustable spanner is a wrench that can be adjusted to different settings, usually for size, to fit a variety of hexagonal nuts. This tool often considered one of the most versatile of tools.
  •
  • This tool called Solder Reel or Solder Iron which it is containing a non-corrosive flux.
  •
  • 5" Needle-Nose Pliers are often included in tool cases that made specifically for computer repairs and refurbishing needs.  Computer cases are very cramped areas and needle-nose pliers are perfect for this environment.  It can be used to cut long wires, retrieve small screws and to grip wires concealed on the other side of case.
  •
  • Tweezers are useful for removing tiny components inside of your personal computer (PC).  It is used for unfasten clips and removal small wiring harnesses without damaging thin wires and antennae.
  •
  • Three prong holder are spring loaded with contracting wire jaws for examining gem stones or other smaill items.  In other word, it is used to grab or retrieve any small items such as screw.
  •
  • A soldering iron is useful for repairing more servere damage in your PC or reattaching components that the manufacturer soldered together.
  •
  • Chip extractor / IC extractor  is used to replace an existing processor chip with a newer model and also remove memory chips that have gone bad or need to be upgraded.  It is also a helpful tool to extract ROM or BIOS chips that no longer work or have been infected with a virus.
  •
  • Nut driver is sometimes called as a hex driver which is used to tighten nuts in the same way that a screwdriver tightens screws.
1/4 Nut driver and 3/16 Nut driver

  • Flat screwdriver is used to loosen or tighten slotted screws.
  • 1/4 Flat screwdriver, 1/8 Flat screwdriver and 3/16 Flat screwdriver

  • Philips screwdriver is used to loosen or tighten crosshead screws.
0 Philips screwdriver, 1 Philips screwdriver and 2 Philips screwdriver

  • Torx screwdriver / reverser torque screwdriver is used to loosen or tighten screws that have a star-like depression on the top, a feature that is mainly found on laptop.
  •
  • Spare parts tube is used for store the screw
  •
  • Multi Stripper Crimping tool is for wire cutting and stripping insulation on single, multiple and fine stranded wire cables with plastic or rubber insulation
  •
  • Reverse action tweezers is for you to hold items that you are gluing into place.
  • IC inserter is used to insert a DIP chip into a circuit board.
  • Three Claw Parts is used to place those screws in hard to reach places and to grab or retrieve any small items such as screw.
